The U13’s Falcons are flying high in the TJFA Division 4. Sitting top of the league following another brilliant display last Sunday. They travelled to Redcar expecting a tough game. The boys started brightly and took an early lead through Sam Peat. We were playing some good football and created 3 good chances to extend our lead but we wasted these chances. We were coping well in defence but Redcar were always a threat, a top class save from Cameron kept it at 1-0. A mix up at the back lead to Redcar scoring. 1-1. On the stroke of half time, Aycliffe won a corner and Sam Peats over the shoulder shot found the top corner,  2-1. Straight from kick off Aycliffe took control as Sam completed his hat-trick with a lovely finish from outside the area. Aycliffe were starting to play some nice football but at times the boys seemed really flat and quiet. This didn’t stop them adding more goals.and Dylan Redpath beat 2/3 players in the box and slotted home, 4-1. Redcar started to push on and again our defence was up-to the job. Joseph, Declan, Kieran and Jay were all awesome, backed up with super Cam between the sticks. A 5th goal was added when a Tom Jasper cross come shot took a slight deflection and ended in the back of the net. Redcar to their credit kept going and pulled 1 back but we were to have the final say when a corner from Dylan was headed into his own net from an unlucky defender. Ft 6-2. A great result but lots to work on still. Keep up the hard work and good things will come this season. Mom could of been any of the back 4, but MOM goes to young Liam in the middle of the park. Your hard work on and off the ball didn’t go unnoticed, well done! Under 15s 3 – 3 Ferryhill Town. First home game of the season and Aycliffe started the game well in poor weather conditions. The game was even with both teams playing well, but somehow Aycliffe found themselves 3-0 down at half time. Credit to the players, they never gave in and they pulled the game back to 3 each! Dave Todd the Aycliffe coach said he is very impressed with the attitude of the players this season. Well done all, see you Wednesday. Goals from Jon Hardy, Matthew Ramsey,  and Josh Richardson. U9’s 5– 0 Birtley Town Whites. Back to winning ways for the Under 9’s with a great performance against Birtley who were just above in the table. After a great passing move Will rattled the bar to give warning of what was coming. More great football and strangely it was Declyn who scored direct from a corner. More pressure from Aycliffe and Alex fired home the second. Half time 2-0. Making regular changes didn’t affect the passing and teamwork and Alex and Will combined to feed Tyler who slotted home with a great finish. Birtley battled hard and had several chances but great defending from Thomas, Moore, Harry and Isaac meant we kept a clean sheet. Further goals from Will and a thunderbolt from Harry into the roof of the net made the final score 5-0. Great performance from everyone and a real team effort.
