NAFC first team manager Brian Atkinson, coaches Mark Wood, Dan Mellanby and Andy McFarlane put on a fantastic Friday night football session for our U9 Blacks, U9 Whites and U10 Blacks along with their team coaches under the floodlights at the Beaumont Landscapes Stadium last week.
Each team were put through their paces by the coaches, rotating around different football activities and drills. It’s always a unique experience for our juniors to train down at Moore Lane and something that the senior coaching staff are keen to make a regular activity across all of our age groups over the coming months. NAFC’s recent signings from the Junior Section’s U18’s team were on hand to help out also, it’s great for the younger teams to see that the pathway to Northern League football is there and it works!
The kids, junior coaches and parents had a fantastic time and the NAFC goody bags handed out at the end of the session went down a treat. There is a definite buzz in the air at the moment and it’s a great time to be part of Newton Aycliffe Football Club!
