Dear Sir,
On Tuesday 4th March I was in the Aldi store at around 5.15pm. At the checkout both my cards were declined and, unfortunately, I did not have any cash. I was in the process of having most of my grocery items voided when a lovely young lady, who was standing behind me, said that she would pay for the groceries I was trying to purchase. I thanked her and initially declined her kind offer, but she insisted. I asked her for her phone number so that I could contact her and arrange to pay her back, but she wouldn’t give me her number, so I am sending her a very big thank you via Newton News.
I am an O.A.P. on a tight budget, like many other people of my age. The value of the items Kate paid for was about £7.00, so definitely not a small amount.
Thank you Kate, you are a very kind and a very generous lady. You have restored my faith in human nature. I wish you nothing but good things. You are a fully fledged angel.
Pam Gayle.
