Reginald ‘Reg’ Lewis
14th November, peacefully after a short illness, Reginald ‘Reg’ (retired Detective Inspector), aged 82 years of Newton Aycliffe, formerly Easington Village. Loving Husband of Audrey; also a dearly loved Father, Father-in-Law, Grandad, Brother, Brother-in-Law and a good friend to many. Will friends please meet for service on Thursday 28th November at 1.30pm at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium for the St. Teresa’s Hospice.
George Alfred Oakley
22nd November Royal Navy veteran and retired Induction Heating engineer, aged 93, peacefully passed away after a short illness. Born in Holymoorside, Derbyshire, George lived in Woodham, Newton Aycliffe, for his last 25 years. Loving Husband of late Wife Margaret, married for 65 years, he leaves behind four Children, eleven Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren, as well as two surviving siblings. Dearly loved, he was a character who made an impact on all who met him. Particular thanks to the District Nurses, Anne and Sandra from Dale Care, as well as staff at Defoe Care Home. Service to take place at 2.30pm on Thursday 5th December at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon. Donations welcomed for Age Concern in lieu of flowers.

14th November, on his 78th birthday, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved and devoted Wife, Barbara, by his side. He was a loving caring Uncle to his Nephews, Michael and Stephen and a loving Brother-in-Law to Pauline and Bruce; and a kind friend to those that knew him. Family and friends please meet for a service at Wear Valley Crematorium on Friday 6th December at 10.30am. Family flowers only, by request, donations in lieu, if so desired, for Cancer Research.

19th November Aged 93 Died peacefully surrounded by his loving Wife Sheila and family. Was a doting Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad and will be sadly missed by all the family. Funeral on Friday 6th December at 11.30am at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon, then afterwards at The Big Club, Newton Aycliffe. Don spent his life dedicated to football so, if possible, could you wear a football shirt, any team welcome. All donations to be given to Newton Aycliffe Youth F.C.
