James White (Jim)
29/9/1940-8/4/2024 It is with great sadness we say goodbye to a wonderful man. He was an amazing Dad and a doting Grandad who joins his late Wife, Barbara, who sadly passed in 2017. Jim was a dedicated lifelong Spennymoor FC supporter as well as a retired Bus Engineer for United Buses. He also ran, with his late Wife Barbara, J&B Entertainment, this included booking country music bands across the north east. Jim was also known as the ‘Tombola King’, as he stood outside of the Great Aycliffe Cancer Hub in the Town Centre three times a week running Tombolas to raise vital funds for the Cancer Charity. He was truly dedicated and supportive of the charity, and was always glad to help Allison, one of his Daughters. His two Daughters, Lisa and Allison, have picked a few words out: “Dad, you are in our hearts and we will always love and miss you. You brought so much joy to our family, more than you’ll ever know – our Hero. Miss you Dad, always xxxxxx.” The funeral will be held on Friday 26th April 2024 at Darlington Crematorium at 11am, followed by refreshments at the Sports Club in Newton Aycliffe. No dress code, any donations, in lieu of flowers, will be for Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group.

Alan G. Richardson
In loving memory of a loving and devoted Husband, Father and Grandfather
8th November 1946 – 2nd May 2023
They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason,
Will change the way we feel.
For no one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles,
No one knows how many times,
We have broken down and cried.
We want to tell you something,
So there won’t be any doubt,
You’re so wonderful to think of,
But so very very hard to be without.
We cannot bring the old days back,
When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now,
But memories will live on forever.
Until we meet again, your loving Wife Judy, our Children Cheryl, Alan and Suzanne and their families.
