James Alderson (Jimmy)
Peacefully, surrounded by his family on 20th December 2025, aged 85 years. Beloved Husband of the late Avril Alderson; much loved Dad of Michelle and Richard; special Grandad to Thomas and Katherine and a special Father-in-Law and friend to many. Funeral on Monday 19th January at Durham Crematorium at 1.00pm. Afterwards at The Phoenix Club. Family flowers only please, donations in his memory to Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Millie Rose Hedley
Of Newton Aycliffe, passed away suddenly surrounded by family on Monday 22nd December 2025, following a short battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at The Great North Children’s Hospital, Newcastle, aged 9 years. Treasured Daughter of Kimberley; much loved little Sister to Makayla. Private funeral service to take place. Donations in memory of Millie, will be gratefully received for The Great North Children’s Hospital.
