Colin Kipling
After his brave battle with cancer, Colin passed away on Thursday 9th November 2023 with his beloved Wife by his side. A Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad; also a Brother, Brother-in-Law and a good friend. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral at St. Clare’s Church on Monday 27th November at 11.00am, followed by cremation at Durham. Everyone is welcome to join us to say our goodbyes to Colin. Refreshments will follow in the Working Men’s Club.

Christine McGinley
Christine passed away on Thursday 9th November. The funeral will be held at Darlington Crematorium on Friday 24th November at 3pm. Family flowers only, donations in lieu to Macmillan Cancer Research would be appreciated. All family and friends are welcome to join us to raise a glass to Christine at The Phoenix Club, Newton Aycliffe.

Geoff Green
7th November Peacefully, with his family around him, of Newton Aycliffe, aged 75 years. Dearly loved Husband of Ann; a much loved Dad of Marc and Kate; also a very dear Father-in-Law, Grandad, Brother and friend. Reginald Rutter (Reg)
Of late Wife Sylvia, sadly passed away at home on 6th November, aged 79 years. Funeral service will take place at Wear Valley Crematorium on Thursday 23rd November at 11.30am and then on to The Phoenix Club to celebrate his life. All welcome, please meet at the crematorium. Please dress smart/casual with some denim as Reg liked his jeans.

George Ward
Passed away peacefully on 11th November 2023, in Darlington Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be held on Friday 8th December 2023 at Wear Valley Crematorium, Coundon at 11.30am. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if so desired, for Cancer Research UK. Then on to Moore Lane Sports Club, Newton Aycliffe to share memories and celebrate his life. All will be welcome.
George will be sadly missed by his family, treasured in our hearts forever.

Maureen Shelton (formerly Elvidge)
After a long battle with cancer, Maureen passed away on Tuesday 14th November, aged 78 years. Loving Wife of the late Allan; Mam, Nanna, Great Nanna, Sister, Mother-in-Law, Aunty and friend to many. Funeral service will take place at Wear Valley Crematorium on Wednesday 29th November at 11.30am, followed by a celebration of her life at the Phoenix Club, all welcome. Please don’t feel obliged to wear black as she was a very colourful person in life.

John Iveson (Jack)
11/10/35-7/11/23 Passed away peacefully on 7th November 2023. Beloved Father of Paul and Sharon; Grandfather to Lee, Kristyna, Andrew, Michael, Anna, Jordan, Kali and Daniel; Father-in-Law to Tony; much loved Brother. Service to be held at Wear Valley Crematorium on Friday 1st December at 11.30am. Refreshments at The Phoenix Club from 12.30pm, all welcome. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Dogs Trust.

Of Swan Walk, Newton Aycliffe, passed away peacefully on 11th November, aged 76 years, at Defoe Care Home, following a short illness. A loved and missed Husband, Dad, Grandad and Great-Grandad. As requested by George, there will be an unattended cremation to take place at Wear Valley Crematorium. Please make any donations to benefit Cancer Research UK.
