Following on from their recent success performing ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Grease’, Woodham Academy are delighted to be launching their Performing Arts Academy next year. This will be open to all students within the school and will give them the opportunity to take part in sessions for stage and set design, sound and lighting, instrumental skills and drama.
The drama sessions are open to all students who wish to develop their skills and confidence in order to perform live on stage. The sessions, which take place in the main school hall after school on Thursdays, will teach students about characterisation and aim to develop their stage presence both as a soloist and as a member of an ensemble. They will also give students the opportunity to develop their skills in both singing and dancing.
Students will be rehearsing every week and will be performing the Disney hit High School Musical next February.
