Visitors to Greenfield Arts in April and May will have seen the start of the exciting renovations and improvements we have been making. As we celebrate our 15th anniversary in June we have been upgrading our Studio 2 space.
With the support of Public Health, GAMP AAP, East Durham Trust and investment by Greenfield Arts the space will include a social space where people can meet and be creative, as well as providing a workshop space for the more messy creative activities!
Our fantastic group of Cree volunteers have also been involved, giving their time to support our team of builders, and working on a new cabinet to house creative materials.
After being given a complicated brief from the arts team they have designed and built the cabinet which will cover one of the walls in the room.
These renovations will result in the space being more usable and will benefit our hirers, tutors, course participants and the community. Thank you to all our visitors and those who use the centre for their patience – the work is almost finished and we look forward to launching the new space soon!
