Pupils from South Durham School Of Dance have recently taken part in the Nationwide IDTA Street Dance Finals in Stoke and have achieved some outstanding results! After previously qualifying to represent the region, students,  Abbie Kennedy, Anna Shaw , Alicia Simpson, Andrea Menzies, Molly Ross, Alesha Ross, Layla  Thompson, Drew Shaw and Hollie O’Connor went on to dance in various catagories of this nationwide final, dancing against hundreds of other dancers all representing their part of the UK.

The competition was fierce, with students dancing in lots of heats due to the large number of competitors taking part. Caroline Race, the principal of South Durham School of Dance spoke highly of her students, ‘l am so proud of what my students have achieved and it goes to show that with a lot of dedication, hard work and effort, you can achieve and be rewarded for your efforts. They really are a talented bunch and they have all made me so proud.’ If anyone is interested in joining South Durham School of Dance they have classes for everyone starting from 3 years of age and above, in Street, Freestyle, Lyrical and Slow, Ballet, Tap, Acro and Flexibility.

They have also recently started a Musical Theatre class and also offer private lessons in dancing and singing along with an Insanity Fitness class for adults.
