Another fantastic weekend of football for all of our young players. Win, lose or draw we have over 280 young footballers having fun and developing along the way. North Ormesby… 0 – U10 Eagles… 5 Another great away victory in the Cup today for the lads, from a coaches point of view it was really pleasing to watch as all the lads are trying the things we are working on in training, the lads kept the ball well and were trying to make the right passes at the right time, North Ormesby battled well but we got our just rewards with two goals each from Noah and Owen but well done to all the lads they all did very well. Man of the match was Noah. Falcons U10’s 6  – 0 Golden Flatts Great passing and an excellent team display won us the game. The boys linked up, really well putting pressure on flats from the start and maintained it all the way through to the end. The defence did their job well and helped us keep another clean sheet. Goals from Cole Gaskarth, Alex Beattie, OG, Louis Parnaby and Dylan Stewart x2 MOTM and a clean sheet goes to Ryan Johnson Under 12 Girls 12 – 1 Deerness Valley On a perfect day for football and the girls were up and running after a first minute corner was headed in by Kate and was quickly followed by Olivia from close range. Alex then weaved passed the defence and after a save from the keeper poked in the rebound. The girls now stopped doing the basics and this allowed Deerness to score a breakaway goal, for the next 15 mins the girls stopped listening and playing despite Kate getting the 4th HT 4-1. A half time talk reemphasised what was expected and the way we play. Great response from the girls and they completely dominated the 2nd half, a hat trick from Hattie, Kate completed her hat trick, Olivia tapped in her second and Alex grabbed her 2nd, now the squad were being rotated as Laila, now growing in confidence, found the net for her first ever goal. The final minute of the game found Neve on the edge of the box and she give the keeper no chance. Fishburn 1-11 Under 15s. After last season without a win and 1 point to our name, with a few heavy defeats along the way, and not too sure if we would still have a team for this season. All this has being wiped from our memories after this weekend’s performance and still without a recognised goal keeper, take nothing away from these lads they deserved it today there is still some areas we need to improve in,but that’s for another day. Today proves that no matter what troubles you face as long as we stick together and work hard things soon change truly proud of everyone today let’s keep it going well done.  Goals: Kieron Todd x 4, Aaron Dixon x1, Josh Batey x 2, Josh Richardson x1, Ben Maxfield x, and Jak Kennedy x2.
