Year 10 students at Woodham Academy recently spent the day off timetable taking part in a careers event.  The aim of the day was to allow students to experience an assessment centre and develop skills to succeed at interview.
The event was supported by the Durham Education Business Partnership which regularly supports the school in its work-related learning provision. Sandra Stephenson from the partnership said ‘The students were an absolute pleasure to work with and exuded confidence and enthusiasm throughout the whole day’.
In recent years, Woodham has placed a real emphasis on providing their students with the highest quality careers education, information advice and guidance.  The success of the programme has been highlighted in the school’s last Ofsted report.  This is just one of many events designed to support students in making informed decisions about their future.
