Holiday activities at Greenfield Arts have been a great success so far, children and families have had great fun getting creative with amazing results. The holiday season got going with a venture into film-making, our talented ‘stars of the show’ were lucky enough to work with film-maker Laura Degnan to star in their very own film, Greenfield then hosted a special preview result and the ‘stars’ were able to see themselves on the silver screen with drinks and popcorn on the side! Crazy Crafts have again been on the road reaching Foundation House at Shildon and the Eco Centre at Moore Lane, Newton Aycliffe. Families at Shildon got the chance to make fabulous accessories with a Pokemon theme and then at Moore Lane they even got the chance to have a woodland walk to choose their own materials with impressive results. Storymakers have also made a comeback featuring the new app, children worked alongside Richard Agar and Anne Curtis to make mechanimals come alive in their very own digital stories and went on to create artwork from the story to take home. Our summer programme will finish off with the last of our sessions at Foundation House, Shildon on Friday 26th August and then Greenfield Arts on Wednesday 31st August, where we will get crafty with recycled materials. And then finally at Greenfield Arts on September 1st where we will be making ‘mechanimals’ – wonderful puppets with lots of character, if you would like to know more about our fun activities please give our friendly team a call on 01325 379048 or visit our website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk
