This week has seen the start of the GCSE examinations at Woodham Academy. This has begun with Art, where students have had 10 hours completing their final examination pieces. This is the culmination of two years of hard work and preparation with their course. The quality of the work is superb. Last year’s examination results were excellent: 92% of students achieved between grade 9 and 4, the old A*-C grades with 5 students gaining a grade 9 – the very highest grade. This placed the school’s Art department amongst the very best in the country. Woodham Academy is confident that this can be repeated this summer.

Every year there is an exhibition of all of the GCSE work where anyone who is interested can come and view the work. Last year’s exhibition saw some of the students’ work being bought by members of the public as the quality was so good.

The exhibition will be held on 26th June 2019 from 3.30pm until 6.00pm. If you are interested in attending please contact the school.
