Greenfield Community College are thrilled to offer a range of sporting opportunities to the community to welcome new clubs and individuals to our community sports.
The community sports section has had a recent change of management and we are delighted to welcome Rachel Curry, Arts, Sports and Community Co-ordinator, to the team. Rachel will be on hand to develop a new programme whilst liaising with our existing clients to make sure community use is benefitting a wide range of users from Newton Aycliffe and the surrounding areas.
Greenfield’s facilities are exceptional, offering a bespoke 3G football pitch, full size sports hall, state-of-the-art tennis courts and a multi-use gym. We have recently been thrilled to open our doors to new users including netball clubs, individual junior tennis bookings and new five-a-side and seven-a-side football teams.
Greenfield also work alongside partners to offer professional coaching and the chance to access teams and clubs. Greenfield Tennis Club are resident on site and are welcoming new members and offering coaching opportunities. The Martin Gray Academy are currently offering quality coaching each Monday evening from 17:30-19:30 and we are also proud to be home to local clubs such as Newton Aycliffe YFC and Brays Netball Club and Heighington FC, who regularly train at Greenfield.
“I am very happy to be joining Greenfield Arts and Sports Centres at a very exciting time of its development. I look forward to developing our programmes and classes further and to welcome the community to enjoy our facilities and the services we have to offer” said Rachel Curry.
