Dear Sir,
My family became homeless, at the drop of a hat, with a three year old. To the councils credit they gave us temporary accommodation in a house in Newton Aycliffe. The people and the area are great, the area is great, it is safe and the place is so well kept.
We recently had a problem with our car before work, did we have to wait for RAC to come out? No, a neighbour came along and helped. I could tell other stories, but this is an area where people take each others bins in for them, this is an area of dog walkers.
Whilst rough around the edges, and the occasional spat over school parking, this is an area that people should aspire to live.
I have lived in various locations around the country and locally in Durham, Peterlee, Wingate, Hartlepool, Crook and Ferryhill, and I can say is that Newton Aycliffe is the area I want to some day live in.
