Dear Sir,

Last year I was captain of Ineos Golf Club and my chosen charity to raise money for was the R.V.I. Children’s Renal Unit in Newcastle, my partners son (Ellis Slater) was treated there until he was 18 and received a kidney from his mother (Deborah Slater) in 2007.

We raised £1200 from the Captains Day raffle where a lot of Aycliffe businesses donated prizes (Supergrip UK, Steam Machine, Stephen Russel, Cuccina, Kwik Fit, Planet Leisure, ROF 59) and a large amount of the members, selling 4 ball vouchers which other clubs in the area all donated, captains charity bunker.

The cheque was presented to Denise Chisholm and Chris Pattinson who are Paediatric Renal Nurse Specialists on Ward 7 of the R.V.I. Children’s Hospital last week.
