Newton Aycliffe Youth & Community Centre applied to the Awards For All from the Big Lottery Fund. We are pleased to announce that our bid was successful and the Centre will use the funding to provide Investors in People training for staff and volunteers.
This will help improve the infrastructure of the organisation, provide support for beneficiaries, encourage more volunteers and help sustain the viability of the youth & community centre.
Vince Crosby Chairman said, “This highlights that we believe in our staff and the future of the centre”.
The Centre believes in its people and services and we aspire to the values below:
MISSION STATEMENT
To improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Newton Aycliffe and its surrounding neighbourhood through the provision of recreational and educational activities including the provision of a community building.
AIM
To maintain the Centre and keep it at the forefront of people’s minds, as an attractive and economic meeting place for all of the inhabitants of Newton Aycliffe and its surrounding areas.
NAYCC CORE VALUES CUSTOMERS
NAYCC puts customers’ needs at the centre of everything we do. We will strive to deliver our promises and exceed customer expectations by providing what they want, when they want it and to the best of our ability.
PEOPLE
Our people are at the heart of our Charity giving us a more competitive edge as a service provider. We encourage and support each individual’s development and value each person’s contribution.
We believe that every individual should be able to fulfil their career ambitions and progress within their working life, through support, clear guidance and training.
COMMUNICATIONS
Effective communications are essential for NAYCC to be successful; we will continue to improve all aspects of communications. NAYCC aim to achieve this by ensuring that each individual has a voice within the organisation.
CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT
We must constantly strive to improve every aspect of the services provided by NAYCC. As we grow we will review and manage the change process, establishing best practice in all areas, and NAYCC as a learning organisation.
THINKING IS IMPORTANT
NAYCC will be a thinking organisation, ideas will shape our success; we will actively strive to encourage all of our people to think about NAYCC and have views on how to develop it.
PROACTIVITY
We would like to lead events, not follow them. We should therefore strive to set the benchmark not aim for it.
