On Thursday 22nd August Adara Natrass of Clanny Road took part in a sponsored haircut and raised close to £500 for charity CLIC Sargent as well as donating her hair to Little Princesses where it will be made into a wig for a little girl who has lost her own hair to cancer.
Adara is 11 years old with beautiful long blonde hair, but she took the decision to have it cut as she was moving to senior school and the fact it was becoming impractical during her favourite hobbies of gymnastics and streetdance. But she recognised that while it was no longer any use to her, she could maybe do some good while getting it cut off.
The big cut was held at Carrie Hairdressing on North Road and despite being such a huge change, Adara is very pleased with Carrie’s handywork and the end result.
Adara is still accepting donations to Virgin Money Giving page at www.virginmoneygiving.com/adaranattrass.bigchop until 22nd November.
