Newton Aycliffe Children Centre is a place where fun and educational activities can be accessed by families with children between the ages of 0 – 5 years. These activities include:
Mini-movers
– these drop-in sessions use different equipment to give a wide opportunity for babies and children (aged 6 months to 2 years) to enjoy and discover movement through play. Mondays, 10.30 – 11.30am
Tuneful Tots
– a ten week course which is aimed at promoting early speech and language development. These fun filled session involve exploring props and instruments and singing easy to learn songs and rhymes. Mondays, 1.30 – 2.30pm Booking required.
Health Visitor Drop in Clinic
– Come along, weigh your baby and receive friendly general health advice and support. Tuesdays, 9.00 – 11.am
Fun for Little Fingers
– a drop in session which uses a variety of crafts, including gluing, sticking and painting. Includes songs and a healthy snack. For children aged 0 – 5 years. Wednesdays, 1.00 – 2.30pm
Jabadao
– children aged 0 – 5 years can enjoy climbing, jumping, crawling and balancing using our soft play equipment. Thursdays, 10.00 – 11.30am – Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
Outdoor Fun
– drop in – dress for wet and messy play! Thursdays, 3.30 – 5.00pm.
Baby time
– a ten week course which includes sensory stimulation for babies and visits from guest speakers. Fridays, 1.00 – 2.30pm. Booking required.
