We all know being active is a major part of staying healthy but did you know all the other benefits being active has on our overall person? It has been proven to improve attention and memory, support mental health, it can help improve your ability to do daily activities and prevent falls. At. St. Francis’ Junior school we like to ensure we are encouraging and educating the children in the importance of this. We ensure that all children have at least two hours of PE a week and are involved with at least 30 minutes of activity during each day. To do this we have lots of activities during breakfast club and playtimes. We also like to use every minute and the children enjoy ‘brain breaks’ in class to get their blood flowing around their body, to be able to wake up their brains and become the best they can be! The children and staff are enjoying being an active and healthy school!
