Sedgefield 75 Swimmers Weekend Winners

Absolutely fantastic results this weekend for the Sedgefield 75 swimmers, as they took to the pool at Billingham for the ‘Off the Blocks’ gala hosted by Richmond Dales ASC.

12 swimmers competed in a total of 53 swims, bringing home 46 medals and an outstanding 43 Personal Best times. These totals do speak for themselves as every single swimmer brought home at least one medal AND a personal best time, which shows how much hard work they have put into their training.

Competing for Sedgefield were: Charlie McEwan, Charlotte Lee, Chloe Harding, Ethan Craig, Ewan John, Katelyn Craig, Kathryn Lee, Lewis Turnbull, Mateusz Wilczynski, Oliver Turnbull, Tom Curran and Zoe Hodgson.

Charlie McEwan took Gold in the 50 Free, Silver in the 50 Back and Bronze in the 100 Back. Charlotte Lee took Gold in the 200 Breast and Silver in the 100 Breast and 100 IM.

Chloe Harding took Gold in the 50 Fly and Bronze in the 100 IM and 50 Breast. Ethan Craig took Gold in the 200 Back and 50 Fly, Silver in the 100 Back and 100 IM and Bronze in the 50 Back.

Ewan John took Gold in the 50 Fly and Bronze in the 100 IM, 100 Free and 50 Breast. Katelyn Craig took Gold in the 100 Back and 100 Free and Silver in the 100 IM, 100 Fly and 200 Free.

Kathryn Lee took Gold in the 50 Fly, 200 Back and 50 Back, Silver in the 100 Back and Bronze in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Lewis Turnbull took Bronze in the 50 Back.

Mateusz Wilczynski had a super weekend taking Gold in 50 Back, 200 Fly, 100 Back, 100 IM, 200 Back and 50 Breast.

Oliver Turnbull took Silver in the 50 Free, 200 Free, 100 Breast and 200 Breast.

Tom Curran took Gold in the 50 Back, 50 Free, 200 Free and 50 Fly and Silver in the 100 Free.

Zoe Hodgson took Gold in the 100 IM. Following her success at the N&D’s, Emma Price competed in her first 800m swim at Tynemouth gala, bringing home a Gold medal.

Every swimmer who competed this weekend at Billingham and Tynemouth should be extremely proud of themselves as the effort and determination shown in training and at the galas has certainly achieved the rewarding success you all deserve.
