Scarlet Whitaker Dunn triumphed at Teesside in round 4 of the Sprint Series. Despite coming down with a sickness bug forcing her to miss all of the action on the Saturday and no qualifying time set, she persisted to race from the back of the grid on the Sunday, setting yet another fastest lap time to date.
“Armed with her first ever set of brand new Dunlop kart tyres (thanks to Grandad), Scarlet arrived back at the circuit determined to race, even from the back of the grid and in the excessive heat”, said Mam.
“Scarlet’s driving was outstanding in the three heats, and the final, despite contact from very close racing.”
“This was one of my best races yet despite being unwell I learned lots and had a ton of fun” quoted Scarlet.
We would like to thank Amaron Racing, PHM (Peninsula Historic Motorsport), Grandad and Rob Storey for their generous assistance and financial support making this possible.
