Recently staff at Medical Services (North East) Limited heard the tragic news that one of their popular and well respected ambulance drivers has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. This came as a huge shock to the company and immediately it was decided to help raise money for the fight against cancer.
In July of this year, the female office workers, including the Director of Human Resources, Joanne Hall, completed the “Race For Life” raising nearly £700.
On Saturday 28th September, we teamed up with the Active Life Centre in Coxhoe to host “More Than Just a Coffee Morning” in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support.
On the day there was a Bouncy Castle, Face Painting and games for the Children and some of our new state of the art ambulances were on display. A successful Table Top sale was in full swing and the raffle with some excellent prizes all donated by local businesses helped raise almost £500.Our Third fund-raising event will be held at Spennymoor Leisure Centre on Friday 8th November 2013.  The popular Billy Black Band will be performing there “Bon Jordi” Act, a tribute to Bon Jovi. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are only £8 and are on sale now via our office – email lstewart@msne.co.uk or telephone 0191 3778841 for payment details.
It promises to be a fantastic night with a raffle during the interval and some fantastic prizes to be won. All money raised from the ticket sales and the raffle will be donated to MacMillan.
