The Newton Aycliffe office of Citizens Advice County Durham was officially opened by the Mayor, Councillor Mrs Wendy Hillary on Monday 27 April.
The opening was a big success with local councillors, parliamentary candidates, volunteers, staff and Citizens Advice Board members in attendance.
The Chair of the Trustee Board, Mr Alan Roxborough, said a few words about the Citizens Advice service which has operated in the town since 1948 and thanked everyone for attending before handing over to the Mayor, Councillor Mrs Wendy Hillary who said a few words about how valuable the service is to the people in Newton Aycliffe and she then unveiled a plaque to officially open the office.
Neil Bradbury, CEO of Citizens Advice County Durham said  “we know that there is a lot of demand for our service in Newton Aycliffe and we are pleased that we have been able to move to these new premises, which are closer to the town centre, and provide local people with a high quality service”
