Defoe Court, on Defoe Crescent and St Clare’s Court, on Central Avenue – part of HC-One, the kind care company, opened their doors to the community for the seventh annual Care Home Open Day.

Care Home Open Day is a national event that gives local people the opportunity to learn more about the care services at the heart of their community. This year’s theme was ‘Celebrating Art in Care,’ with HC-One launching a national Art Competition to encourage, residents, their loved ones, colleagues and neighbours to unleash their creativity and design their own masterpiece

The sun was shining over both homes as they hosted their fun-filled events, with live entertainment and activities for residents, friends, family and members of the team to enjoy as a community. The Mayor of Great Aycliffe, Councillor Mary Dalton also joined Defoe Court for their Care Home Open Day celebrations.
