Mrs Burniston, a midday supervisor, is sadly leaving Aycliffe Village Primary School for retirement after being there for forty years. She is very kind and funny. All the pupils love her and will miss her very much. A lot of people thought that she was the best dinner nanny to ever come to the school. One pupil, Oliver, said, “Mrs Burniston is very kind and makes me laugh.”
It’s not just the pupils who will miss her, the teachers will miss her too. She is friends with all the teachers and they do not want her to leave. She has been around for so long she has even helped some of the teachers when they were pupils. One of the teachers, Mrs Brown, has said, “I will miss Mrs Burniston’s lovely, kind smile and how she cares for the pupils.”
Mrs Burniston has said she will miss the school.
“I will miss all the pupils and how they are lovely, kind and polite. The teachers are always nice and they help me in the lunch hall. Personally, I prefer going outside rather than inside because I love seeing the pupils play and have some fresh air. It’s been a pleasure to work here and help the school.”
Mrs Burniston has said she will spend her time in retirement doing things like looking after her grandchildren and going in her caravan on holiday and having fun. She would also like to paint her shed brightly and wants to go on walks with her husband and grandchildren. Her husband is excited about having her around more to do more things with her.
Head Teacher, Lynn Adamson, wished Mrs Burniston a happy and much deserved retirement and thanked her for the care, kindness and dedication she had shown to the school.
