Hollie Williams, aged 10, along with her family and friends, raised £236.74p on 23rd October for the Caudwell Children’s charity from a collection in Tesco’s.
Angie, Hollie’s mum said Tesco staff were very helpful and wants to thank them and all customers who donated.
“Special thanks to Graham, Lynda, Craig, Nathan, and Callum who were “awesome” as Hollie and Thomas would say. Thanks to Walkers Butchers for donating quiches, a very good shop with very friendly staff”.
£556:70 was then raised on Friday the 30th with a Disco held at Planet Leisure and £236 from Tesco collections, a £75 cheque and a £25 raffle prize from the Rotary Club, making a grand total of £868:44p.
Thanks to the Caudwell  Children’s Charity volun-teers and Paul Gittins for the Disco at a reduced price, Love Thy Cupcakes – fancy cakes, Barbara head cook from Broom School and Philip Smith (chef) for biscuits, flapjacks, cakes and other treats.
A very big thank you to Angela Williams for organising the whole event almost single handedly despite having severe health issues herself, so that she could help children with serious medical problems.
After all this Hollie needs to go into RVI hospital again for urgent treatment lasting two weeks. Her mum will stay with her throughout and says she will miss her son and husband, but as long as Hollie gets better they are happy.
