2024 sees the 10th Anniversary of the founding of The Great Aycliffe Cancer Support Group, your local cancer charity.
From six members in a small church hall, to now a three-figure number of patients that we have supported since the charity came into being. We have had many success stories with patients living after cancer, but we also remember those who have sadly lost their battle against cancer.
To celebrate this landmark, the charity is currently arranging a function at the Phoenix Club, Macmillan Road, Newton Aycliffe on Friday 8th March 2024, 7.00pm-11.00pm, to include the fantastic singer Marie St Clair who performs songs from Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey, Donna Summer and others. We also have Miss Annbag coming along to do the disco.
The tickets cost £5.00, and tickets will be available in the GACSG shop and hub, opposite Savers in Aycliffe Town Centre, open Tuesday and Thursday 9.30am-3pm and Friday 10.00am-2.00pm. Tickets will also be available from the Phoenix Club.
