The recent Brunch, organised by the Rotary Club in School Aycliffe Community Centre, was a huge success with £220 being raised for local charities.

A hardworking team of about sixteen people set up and dismantled the hall, prepared, cooked and served food, manned the raffle and generally helped. The hall was busy all morning and there was a good atmosphere. People enjoyed full English breakfasts – bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and eggs, cup of tea or coffee and a slice of toast for £5.00. Others chose bacon or sausage butties, with tea or coffee for £2.00.

Local butcher, Don Walker supplied the excellent meat. A number of people asked when the next one would be held and we had much complimentary feedback. Many thanks for all who took the time to support us.
