Staff and students from Greenfield Community College were thrilled to see the return of talented bands from the infamous annual Durham Brass Festival.   Students from both the Sunnydale Campus and the Aycliffe site were treated to a lively performance from two unique street bands. Sunnydale campus were hosts to the refreshing talent of Hannabiell who created a fusion of percussion, jazz, afro-beat, funk and reggae, bringing a whole new spin to the legacy of brass! Aycliffe students were not to be disappointed as they hosted Llaggerubb, making their debut at ‘Brass’ this year.

Although ‘first timers’ they soon had the staff and students dancing in the aisles enjoying the mix of jazz and hip-hop with popular covers and original material. Greenfield Arts were once again delighted to be able to deliver the performance, Sophie Lewis, Arts and Community Centre Coordinator was thrilled with the response, “it was so rewarding to be able to once again see the students have great fun and enjoy such a unique cultural experience” said Sophie If you would like to know a bit more about Greenfield Arts and the many activities on offer why not call our friendly team on 01325 379048 or check out our website www.greenfield-arts.co.uk
