Music lovers are in for a treat on Friday, 11th June when acclaimed pianist, Florian Mitrea, launches Bishop Auckland Music Society’s 2021 concert series with a performance including works by Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin.
Florian trained at the George Enescu National Music College in Bucharest before winning a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He is now a teacher at The Academy and gives regular master classes in Tokyo and Bucharest where he runs his own music festival.
In 2020 Florian began his first tour as a soloist with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

All concerts take place in the comfortable surroundings of Bishop Auckland Methodist Church – opposite the General Hospital and begin at 7.30pm.
