Year 6 children at Stephenson Way Community Primary School had a special treat on Monday when they took part in a basketball coaching session with a member of the Durham Wildcats Basketball Squad. Children took part in a range of games that developed their dribbling, throwing and catching skills—children were even challenged to dribble backwards with their less-dominant hand! All children enjoyed the session and tried really hard to complete every task that they were set to the best of their ability.
There were some very skilful children in both year 6 classes. Who knows…maybe the next big Wildcats star could come from Stephenson Way Community Primary School!
