U14 Falcons v Hartlepool Youth. As the weather improved and the pitch was once again playable the lads faced a potentially tough game against fellow promotion chasers Hartlepool Youth.

Aycliffe were quickly into the game dominating all areas of the pitch throughout the first half. Every player played their part but special mentions to Aarron Hepburn for a clean sheet, Lewis Gray, Jack Birbeck at centre half and a Man of the Match performance by Charlie Hirst brought the lads in at half time 4-0. Another goal was added the second half that saw the Falcons bag all 3 points FT 5-0

Goals from Adam Askew (2), Dylan Burnside, James Imiela, Charlie Hirst.

Under 10 Girls v Easington Colliery, Fresh on the back of last weeks win the girls were determined to get another 3pts. An equally determined Easington made it hard work, throughout the game. The girls kept their shape and a great team goal started with Imogen passing to Lily who then found Heidi to calmly find the back of the net. Easington closed ranks and defended for all their worth. The second half saw a faster Aycliffe side really pile on the pressure with end to end football that entertained the watching parents but try as we might they couldn’t score again as the opposition keeper gave a performance worthy of a pro. A great match and a great result. FT 1-0

Under 7 Eagles v Seaham Coast, 2nd game of season saw the lads come up against the team that finished joint 2nd with us in the winter league. Both teams have seen good development since the last game but Aycliffe boys were well up for this one. After a messy spell which saw it at 2-2 the boys started to do things the simple way and keep it easy which saw us get another 2 goals to finish the game off. 4 points from 6 so far FT 4-2

Under 8 Eagles v South Tyneside Typhoons ,From kick off the Eagles pushed hard to get up field with great runs. Some super midfield battles from all and excellent saves from Trystan, and HT 0-0. Second half saw a few changes and the Eagles came out ready for the attack. After no time at all they found the back of the net with a great bit of play and pass from Will to find Adam in the box to score. Aycliffe then enjoyed loads of possession in the second half. Then an outstanding moment from Edwin, as he fired home a free kick, taken just inside the oppositions half. As the full time whistle approached the Eagles forced a corner which was taken by Edwin who found Adam in space to finish off a great game. FT 3-0.
