Aycliffe Town Centre Management, Aycliffe Radio and Aycliffe Police organised a very successful Blue Light Day in Aycliffe Town Centre, which included displays from Police dog and road units, Fire Brigade, Driving Simulator, 1407 Air Cadets, NHS Trust, HumanKind, 102 Battalion REME, Blood Bikes and the Newtonian bus.
An ice cream van, kiddies fairground rides and face painter rounded off the attractions, with live entertainment from Infinity Dance Co., O’Hehir Irish Dance School and Acorn Ukes. Also present on the day, talking to local residents, was Crime Commissioner Joy Allen and local MP Paul Howell.
