Dear Sir,
I can’t begin to “Imagine” all the people that will “smile though their heart is breaking” at hearing the recent sad news.
Mr Syd Howarth MBE “Heaven must have been missing an angel”.
Syd, so kind to have supported me from winning the first ever Aycliffe’s Got Talent, through Open Mic UK and sharing in my families delight on seeing the winners trophy.
A true gentleman, for whom I have the utmost “RESPECT”. Syd, “Always there” to encourage, praise and promote, helping me “climb every mountain” on my 2017 X Factor journey. “Life is a song worth singing” when we care, share and give and Syd had so much to give.
I was always willing to “help” Mr Newton Aycliffe with Rotary events, Christmas concerts and the MRI appeal. I will never forget the huge hug Syd gave me when I sang at The Big Club “Oh” that was such a “happy day”. An inspiration and example to us all with his “tales as old as time”.
On Friday 2nd November, I sang at the Newton Aycliffe Cricket Club “Thank you (Newton Aycliffe) for the music, for giving it to me”, as it gave me the opportunity to follow in Syd’s footsteps although “I did it my way”, raising £780 for charities I have chosen to support.
Clic Sargent, the UKs leading children’s cancer charity, supporting children and their families through cancer, every step of the way.
If U Care Share based in Chester-le-Street, providing emotional and practical support with 3 main aims: prevention, intervention and support for those bereaved by suicide. Talking can save lives. It’s OK not to feel OK. There’s always a way. Did you know the average person tells 4 lies a day . . . the most common one being “I’m fine”.
The Lullaby Trust raises awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and provides expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offers emotional support for bereaved familes.
Motor Neurone Disease Association funding and providing global research into MND, offering help and support to families.
R.I.P. Syd “Simply the Best”
Thank you
Shanaya
