Saturday 3rd November saw the annual village bonfire and fireworks sponsored again by Tony and Diane Goodman of the Bay Horse pub.
They would like to thank all the patrons of the pub for their donations towards the fireworks. Also many thanks go to those who provided additional materials towards the organisation of the bonfire. Simon Shepherd (Edgar Shepherd Ltd) for donating the retaining pallets. Peter Cockburn for the loan of metal stakes for cordoning off safety areas. Brian Knox for donating a bale of straw essential to start the fire.
Once again it was a successful, incident free, event with a really good turnout with everyone enjoying the fireworks. Take out food was provided by the pub – thanks to all the staff on duty on a very busy evening.
Finally thanks to Darryl Gregory, Steve Jackson, John Wood, Tony Kay and Gary Vickers for preparation and supervision on the evening.
Many thanks and here’s to next year.
Tony and Diane.
