The Rotary Club of Newton Aycliffe were in Tesco’s last Sunday collecting for the Ebola Appeal and £500 was raised thanks to the generosity of townspeople.
Club President David Anderson wishes to thank all who donated cash with special thanks to the management and staff of Tesco for hosting the collection. “Once again Tesco showed their community involvement by allowing the Rotary Club to use their store to collect for a good cause.” said David.
In December the club will be in the store again making their annual Christmas Collection to provide hampers for the town’s needy families.
The club is currently planning its Christmas Tour of the streets and looks forward to bringing Santa round to meet the children.
