On Thursday 3rd March children and staff at Byerley Park Primary celebrated World Book Day and launched their exciting new reading challenge – ‘60 Books to Read Before You Leave Byerley Park’.
‘60 Books’ is a celebration of some of the very best in children’s fiction and literature. The list has been compiled from a range of book reviews and includes timeless children’s classics as well as more contemporary authors and stories.
Books include much loved stories like The Tiger That Came for Tea, The Twits, Charlotte’s Web, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe & The Hobbit alongside more modern fiction like Lost & Found, Grandpa’s Great Escape and The Hunger Games.
The children’s reading journey will take them from Donaldson’s Dairy to the Enchanted Wood, from Narnia to Hogwarts and countless magical places in between!
We look forward to seeing how the children progress with the books and helping them to foster a love of reading.
