On 15 August 2015, its 25 years since Jonathan Poulter started work in a Saturday job at AK Brewster on Aycliffe Business Park. It’s a double celebration for Jonathan as he celebrates his 40th Birthday that day too.
Jonathan was born in 1975, and has lived in Newton Aycliffe all his life, attending Sugar Hill School and Greenfield Community College.
From an early age Jonathan was interested in anything to do with cars, even as a child he would build his own ramps and put his go-kart on it for repair!
When deciding his career option there was only one choice for him – Car Mechanic and he is still as passionate about cars today as he was when he first started working all those years ago.
On leaving school Jonathan attended Bishop Auckland College to gain his car mechanic qualifications. Jonathan says he enjoys working at AK Brewster’s as he’s had the opportunity to work on a large variety of cars throughout the years, and feels he is working as part of a “family” and it’s not just a job.
This feeling is helped by the fact many AK Brewster customers have been bringing their cars to the garage since Jonathan first started 25 years ago.
In his spare time Jonathan enjoys motor sports, everything from stock cars to Formula 1 racing. He likes spending time with his family and enjoys cooking and baking.
Jonathan will be celebrating his achievement with an Everyman Racing Driving Experience Day, a gift provided by AK Brewster, where he will have the opportunity to drive an Aston Martin, a Ferrari and a Lamborghini.
