Dear Sir,
It is with a heavy heart that our family has completed our final Newton News delivery, last weekend, for the older side of School Aycliffe.
Our family have been delivering this round for over 18 years and always enjoyed it. Sadly, over the last few years, I have developed health conditions that have caused me to decline to such a point that I am now unable to complete the round any more and, due to other reasons, it is too much for my husband and two younger children.
We started the round with the thought that we could either join a gym to exercise and pay, or go out to exercise, enjoy being outdoors and get paid. As we’ve always loved being outdoors, the latter seemed an easy choice.
We started with just two children, one of which was in a pushchair and then had two more children along the way, and more pushchairs!
We’ve loved doing the paper round and appreciated those kind people who have chatted with us, given easy access to deliver and sometimes even given our children sweets etc., and we would like to say thank you to them for adding to the enjoyment of delivering our round. We will sorely miss delivering and the kind people we met.
Best wishes.
The Browns.
