On Sunday 10th July The North East Theatre Organ Association at Howden-Le-Wear, were proud to support Kim and Mike Foreman who live in Holmside with the presentation of their “46th Wedding Anniversary and Thank You Live Wake Show” raising funds for “SIR BOBBY ROBSON FOUNDATION” helping the fight against Cancer.
Cheerful Mike has bravely fought cancer since 2007 and is now on his 4th course of chemotherapy treatment. With the help of the treatment and support he has received he organised this event as a Thank You to all staff at Durham Hospital, his family and friends who have shown great kindness in raising Funds.
Funds raised will be presented to Lady Elsie Robson at the Copthorne Hotel, Newcastle at a later date.
Kim and Mike had a busy time welcoming the guests to the “Home of the Mighty Wurlitzer “ for an impressive Reception and Luncheon with piano playing in the background followed by a fantastic show with Mike rising from the depths of the stage playing the Mighty Wurlitzer in fine style to the delight of full concert hall.
After a great show Robin McKay on behalf of Mike gave the response, thanking everyone for their care and help. £1384 was presented to Mike and Kim by Stuart Wright on behalf of NETOA, This total is expected to rise to £2000 with other donations promised.
