On July 28th Aycliffe Town Centre, in association with Star Radio, will be presenting a major display of equipment and personnel from the local Army Reserve, Police and Fire Service.
This will be hosted by Craig Andrews of Star Radio who will be performing his show live from the town centre between 10.00am and 2.00pm on the day.
You will have the chance to meet and talk to officers from the television programme ‘Police Interceptors’ and have a close look at the cars in real life.
In addition we will have a variety of other police vehicles with officers on hand to show you around them and answer any questions you may have.
Durham Fire Brigade will also be in attendance in the afternoon with a fire appliance which everyone can have a close look at and the team will be on hand to show you around and explain the work they do.
Not only will we have all of the above but our local Army Reservists from 124 Recovery Company REME, 201 Field Hospital and D Company 5 Royal Regiment of Fusilier are bringing a selection of their specialist equipment including a BB Gun Range and Bouncy Castle for everyone to see, explore and enjoy.
It promises to be a great day out for all ages and completely free. Lots to do and chances to win prizes with Star Radio . . . it’s a must do visit!
