On Thursday 7th March, St Francis’ celebrated ‘World Book Day’ in school. The staff dressed up as different characters from well-known book characters. We had Little Red Riding Hood, Dorothy, Mary Poppins, Pocahontas, Gaston the Ladybird and Where’s Wendy all joining us for a day of story writing.
Each class have written their own story where many different characters meet, they had to use the characters the teachers came as to write about, we had such great ideas! The children even illustrated their work and performed them in our end of the day assembly. Each child also received a book to take home to give them more opportunity to enjoy reading!
The children also enjoyed a themed lunch, which was very yummy!
