Netball teams at Greenfield Community College have been achieving great things this year with brilliant results.

Congratulations to Year 8 and Year 9, training and resilience paid off as they were crowned champions of the SWD U13 and U14 Tournament respectively, a great achievement. Year 11 also showed great form finishing top in the SWD league table. Well done to all involved.

Director of Sport, Barbara Davis, is thrilled with the achievements and the positive attitude of the players “This has been an amazing season for Greenfield’s netball teams, to win one league or tournament in a season would be a highlight which doesn’t happen every year, but to have three separate teams finishing in top spot in the South West Durham Leagues and tournaments is an achievement we are very proud of”.

Many players are now training and playing for local adult teams including Greenfield’s partner club Brays, who train at Greenfield and make use of the state-of-the art facilities. The club have recently chosen Greenfield as their venue for a Tuesday night adult league which takes place in two sports hall.
