Busy doesn’t cover it, so far in rescue I have eight babies all under 200 grams. Last Saturday I received a call from Steven, who is a vet nurse at Grange Vets in Darlington, about two baby hedgehogs that were brought in, there was no sign of mum or other siblings, it’s great that the two of them made it here, siblings together are a great source of comfort to each other through their infancy in rescue, they are in the incubator for the moment because they are very small.
A special thanks also to Dee who, on Sunday, brought me two very small hedgehogs which are both little boys, and finally Lorraine who brought me little Maggie and Jenny. All of these tinies will be here ‘til spring, they are warm, safe and out of harms way for the foreseeable. I have some to release but the weather is going to get very cold over the next few nights so releases are put on hold.
I will be out and about soon, on the 18th of November we will be at the Methodist Church Hall Fair and on 2nd December the PCP Centre. Please help me help these beautiful little babies, my standards are high and doesn’t come cheap.
To finish, pictured above are Rosie and Lucky, from Donna and Steven of Grange Vets.
