It’s been a difficult few days here, three of my little girls, Holly, Tilly and Rana, have been very unwell, whilst they are wild animals they can still get very scared and stressed out if things upset them. Since New Year’s Day I have had difficulties getting them well again, but hopefully they have turned a corner. A hedgehogs hearing is very sharp and the fireworks of New Years Eve/Day has been very upsetting for them, also strong winds have frightened them too. Upset tummies that need antibiotics etc are always here which has enabled me to act straight away, the earlier I take action the better the outcome for all in Rescue and out in the wild. Can I reassure Neil, Caz and Lorraine that your prickly babies are doing fine, Tilly needs persuading to take her meds but I have the time and patience to get her to take them.
Can I thank the following people for their support, the lovely ladies and Wally, of Grannies Choice, they are selling raffle tickets for our prickly friends Easter Raffle, I am always in there buying food for my bigger hoggies, Neil and Caz for their support with donations, Bob and his wife, Karen and Joanne for their purchase of hedgehog houses kindly donated, and finally, a special thanks to June, Valerie and Stephanie.
Here are some dates for your diary: Saturday 11th February we will be at the Neville Parade Community Centre from 11-2 with lots of lovely things to sell. We will also be at the Ayclive Festival on 29th July. That’s going to be great. If anyone would like a raffle ticket I will hopefully be in Tesco too, at some point in the near, thank you Shirley, our community champion, in advance.
