St. Francis School is staging a Concert at Greeenfield School Hall on Tuesday 11th February at 6.15pm to launch their own CD. The children have been in rehearsal, coached by a professional performer from “Popuk” The songs are recorded on CD to be on sale at a modest charge of £4. In preparing for the concert and production of the CD the students have learnt new songs and gained valuable experience in stagework and the use of microphones.
Popuk is a charity working with schools to encourage children enjoy singing and performing. They have achieved amazing results wherever they have been.
Everyone is excited about the launch and tickets are on sale at £1 for Adults and 50p for children, available from the school.
Headteacher Mrs Wilkinson said: St Francis School have invested a lot of money in this project, buying in the expertise and microphones etc. We are hoping all the children will attend the launch accompanied by as many relatives and friends as possible.
