Another proud moment for Greenfield staff and students occurred last Monday night when once again we celebrated 100% attendance, this time with Harry Maxfield and Nadia Kovacs at Chester- le- Street Cricket Ground.
We have been represented eleven times in the last twelve years, a fantastic achievement. Harry’s brother Ben, who joined us in September from Byerley Park also received the award for 100% attendance throughout his Primary education, he now aims to go for the double and has been set the challenge for 2018.
Only fifteen young people from across the whole County of Durham were honoured at the celebrations, three were from Primary and twelve from Secondary. Harry and Nadia have extra reasons to celebrate as both of them have done exceptionally well in their examinations this Summer, contributing to the record breaking results achieved by Greenfield students this year.
The awards were presented by Karen Wright from Metro/TFM radio, who was so impressed by Harry’s results that she referred to him on her radio show on Tuesday morning. It has to be said that excellent attendance contributes to fantastic results and promotes the right attitude that many employers look for in their workforce.
We pride ourselves on excellent attendance and were delighted for the fifty eight students who achieved 100% attendance at the end of the Summer term.
