The Newton Aycliffe Police held a competition for all the local schools to decorate a Christmas Tree. Each school was kindly given a 9-foot Christmas Tree to decorate, the theme was community kindness. We had a week to decorate our tree and then it was judged by Santa, Mrs Claus and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Joy Allen.
St Francis’ created a Snowman Christmas tree with a mission to melt hearts with kindness. The children decorated baubles to make our Christmas tree amazing. We really believe that kindness is a valuable skill for all to have and our children have it in spades.
We are very proud to be the joint winners with Horndale. We have won a treat to go to ROF59 and McDonalds, a gift from the Newton Aycliffe Police team. The winning schools get a trip for the whole school to ROF59 and food supplied by McDonald’s.
We wish you all a very Happy New Year.
