Shildon will be hosting the biggest FREE event in the North East, the second weekend in September, with FREE admission and running in conjunction with local charity Quinns Retreat.
The weekend will feature the FREE human torch show, FREE TV stunt team, as seen on TV throwing themselves off huge gantry’s actually on fire, the amazing exploding coffin which is one of the most dangerous film stunts in the world, a FREE Motorcycle display and also back by popular demand Monster Truck rides.
Local firm Carnival Fun Fairs will present their gigantic fairground which this year will feature a continental ferris wheel from Belgium together with a world food court serving everything to cater for all tastes and the all day bar which will serve from a vintage London Route Master bus.
It’s also FREE to get in, a spokesman for the event said people will never witness anything like this again in the small railway town of Shildon and certainly no family in the North East should miss out on this grand extravaganza. The fantastic weekend of free action will start at 11am on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September in Hackworth Park, Central Parade, Shildon DL4 1DL.
The fun fair will be open from 6pm until 8pm on Friday 9th September as well as from 11am on the Saturday and Sunday.
