NHS England has set out plans for the next 10 years – but now people in County Durham have the chance to influence what actually happens where they live.

Healthwatch County Durham is seeking views from across the county to contribute to a national project that will help determine the final shape of the NHS 10-year Plan.

Ideas are wanted for how the local NHS could better support communities in County Durham to stay well and how the support that is currently available could be improved. Feedback is also wanted on how services for people with specific priority conditions – including cancer, heart and lung diseases, and learning disabilities – could be made better and how people can be given more control of their care.

Your feedback can be submitted via two online surveys (links below) or you can request paper copies to complete by calling Healthwatch County Durham on 0800 304 7039.

Survey 1 – general needs:

Survey 2 – specific conditions:

The deadline for submissions is the end of April. This is your chance to influence the health services that will be available across the county in future, so don’t miss it!
