Sedgefield Racecourse has opened its Grotto early to offer families and adults the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day out whilst finding that unique Christmas gift for loved ones.

This fun packed day, taking place on Saturday 28th November, hosts over 50 stalls offering a variety of products for the perfect Christmas gift with the opportunity to dine with afternoon tea.

To add to the festivities of the event there are number of attractions including face painting for the kids, a visit to Santa’s Grotto, the Trimdon Brass Band featuring Julie Marshall who will be performing an array of Christmas Carols, a food demonstration by Sedgefield’s Hardwick Arms and the Weardale Piper will be welcoming you into the racecourse.

Jill Williamson, Executive Director at Sedgefield Racecourse believes this successful event will be even more eventful due to the demand for stalls selling unique gifts ‘’This fun, family and adult event offers something for everyone and is proving more popular than in previous years!
